MoStudios LLC ("MoStudios," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Crew: Bike Clubs & Rides mobile application (the "App") for iOS and Android platforms. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Profile photo (optional)
- Account creation date
- Last active date
- Crew membership and role information
- Notification preferences
- Push notification tokens (device identifier and platform)
1.2 Ride Data
When you create or participate in rides, we collect:
- Ride title and description
- Start and end locations (name, address, latitude/longitude)
- Date, time, estimated distance, and pace
- Cover images
- Attendance and check-in records
1.3 Crew Data
When you create or join a crew, we collect:
- Crew name, description, and logo
- Privacy settings (discoverability, approval requirements)
- Invite codes
- Member counts and aggregate statistics
- Subscription status
1.4 User-Generated Content
We collect content you create, including:
- Announcements (title, body, images, links)
- Photos uploaded to ride albums
- Join request messages
1.5 Location Information
We request access to your device's location while the App is in use. Location data is used solely to detect when you are near a ride's start location (within 0.5 miles) to enable check-in functionality. Your real-time location coordinates are processed in-memory only and are NOT stored in our database. Only ride start/end coordinates that you manually enter when creating a ride are saved.
1.6 Statistics
We collect and store aggregate statistics about crew activity, including ride counts, total miles, photo uploads, and member activity on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
- Create and manage your account
- Enable crew creation, membership, and ride coordination
- Process check-ins at ride locations
- Send push notifications about join requests and their status
- Generate crew and individual statistics
- Manage subscriptions and access to premium features
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:

4. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage). Data in transit is protected by HTTPS/TLS encryption. Data at rest is protected by Firebase's standard infrastructure security. We do not implement end-to-end encryption.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained indefinitely unless you delete your account or an admin removes content. Aggregate statistics snapshots are retained permanently. There is no automatic data expiration.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time. When you delete your account:
- Your Firebase Auth account and user profile are deleted
- You are removed from your crew's member list
- Content you created is retained but attributed to "Former Member"
- If you are a crew owner, ownership transfers to another member or the crew is archived
6.2 Notification Preferences
You can opt out of push notifications entirely or by category (announcements, rides, join requests) in the App's preferences screen, which links to your device's notification settings.
6.3 Location Permissions
You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. Disabling location access will prevent the check-in feature from functioning.
6.4 Data Export
Currently, the App does not offer a data export feature. If you wish to request a copy of your data, please contact us at the address below.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.
8. Content Visibility
All user-generated content (announcements, ride details, photos) is visible only to members of the same crew. There are no public profiles or publicly accessible content. Content is not indexed by search engines.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
